What it addresses
ISO 648 addresses metrological and constructional requirements for single-volume pipettes with one or two marks. ISO 835 addresses metrological and constructional requirements for graduated pipettes intended for general laboratory purposes.
Note
The applicable standard depends on the pipette type, delivery mode, graduation pattern and intended use. These references do not automatically cover every specialised pipette, milk pipette, serological design, blow-out configuration or application-specific marking. Accuracy and delivery behaviour must be confirmed for the exact product.
Wall-build customisation
Tube and wall-build options may be evaluated where bore geometry, delivery time, drainage behaviour, graduation readability, capacity and applicable tolerances remain controlled. Wall thickness must not be changed in a way that invalidates the pipette’s verified performance.
